After determining the need for more space and a better traffic flow, the home addition contractor designed a plan that featured a new kitchen, laundry room and mudroom configuration that would open the layout, and a new second floor master suite with breathtaking views of the wooded back yard. TCB used windows of all sizes throughout the home addition to visually increase the space and bring the outdoors inside. A new deck on the back of the house added even more space and outside views.
The final two-story home addition featured:
- Completely new kitchen with semi-custom cabinetry, new appliances, stone-top center island and generous storage space
- Mudroom accessible through a relocated garage door, featuring organized cubbies for storage
- Improved traffic flow resulting from reconfigured interior walls between mudroom, laundry room and kitchen
- Full second-floor master bedroom suite with walk-in closets and cathedral ceilings
- New master bathroom with an all-tile shower plus cleverly designed storage space for linens
- Guest room repurposed from old master bedroom, with new private bath
Kitchen Remodel
